Crashing two of them into the World Trade Center — one into each of the two towers, about 18 minutes apart — causing both towers to collapse. Then crashing the third aircraft into the U.S. Department of Defense headquarters, the Pentagon. Killing 2,986 people total.
In fact if you look up ambiguous in the dictonary I think there is something about 9/11 in the definition.
